| Brief Description: | Manoj Kumar directed and stars in this Bollywood drama as Bharat, who after his father retires, becomes responsible for looking after his family in Delhi. Although Bharat is a college graduate, he can't seem to get a job, much to his girlfriend Sheetal's (Zeenat Aman) frustration. Bharat's brother Vijay (Amitabh Bachchan) turns to crime--which Bharat strong opposes--and leaves the house. Then Sheetal's boss Mohan (Shashi Kapoor) asks her to marry him and he accepts. Bharat is devasted. Desperate and unable to afford the basic needs of roti (food), kapada (clothing), and makaan (shelter), Bharat begins to consider a life of crime.
