| Brief Description: | ECTACO Partner English <-> Chinese Talking Electronic Dictionary EC300T
The ECTACO Partner EC300T is an English <-> Chinese talking electronic dictionary. Its English-Chinese and Chinese-English dictionaries hold a total of 430,000 words. This model also provides an explanatory English dictionary of 12,000 words. In addition, the EC300T is a great reference tool: aside from the English voicing function, it provides English irregular verbs, the most popular American idioms, and a 12-topic English-Chinese phrasebook. With about 5,000 entries in its TOEFL dictionary, this handheld device will also prove a great help to those getting in shape for the exam. The examination section offers you the option to test your knowledge of any of the newly acquired words. This ECTACO Partner features all the traditional ECTACO handhelds' features you have come to expect including instant reverse translation, dictionary Look-up and Fuzzy search, advanced word recognition and, of course, a bilingual interface. More Functionality:
This product employs the Pinyin system for input of text. Pinyin input is a transliteration system that allows you to read and write Chinese using the Latin alphabet. It requires users to enter a series of standard symbol combinations which are then able to be read as an accurate, standardized approximation of the Chinese language. The Pinyin system of input is the most popular and easy to use methods of communicating in Chinese without using hieroglyphs. |
