| Brief Description: | The fourth live-action feature by Walerian Borowczyk, The Story of Sin
is the first feature made in the filmmaker's native land of Poland,
where he began his career as an animator in the fifties. The film is a
chronicle of a young girl's progress from her strict Victorian
upbringing to a love affair with a young man which soon blossoms into
passion, jealousy and a final heroically grotesque self-sacrifice. A
celebration of amour fou, starring Grazyna Dlugolecka and Jerzy

Ewa otrzymuje list, ze jest ciezko ranny. Jedzie do niego. Po pewnym czasie Lukasz wyjezdza do Rzymu, gdzie uzyskuje rozwod. Ewa jest w ciazy. Na wiadomosc, ze jej ukochany ozenil sie, w rozpaczy topi dziecko. Szukajac zapomnienia, zostaje prostytutka na uslugach opryszka Pochronia. W czasie napadu na mieszkanie Lukasza oslania go wlasnym cialem i ginie. W Scenarius/Screenplayu dokonano skrotow w stosunku do powiesci, co spowodowalo wiele uproszczen psychologicznych. W sumie powstal solidny film komercyjny, odznaczajacy sie starannoscia w budowie ujec i dobra gra aktorska. Druga ekranizacja powiesci.
