Jimmy Wang plays the title character, a merchant seaman who accidentally kills a man and flees to Japan, ending up in Kobe, where he is taken in by expatriate Chinese, learns Judo, and has to fight off a bunch of drug-running thugs. Low budget, but it's nice to see a different sort of character in a kung-fu flick as Jimmy Wang's earnest seaman tries to figure out how to get by in a foreign country. Mandarin with English subtitles (occasionally cropped and low).
