| Brief Description: | Ghaat is the journey of an ordinary man, a man with a vision and mission. But his aspirations go hay wire in the mist of diabolical games played by both cops and politicians. Krishna Patil ( Manoj Bajpai) is the lower middle class protagonist, whose father Ramakanth Patil ( Anupam Kher) is an idealist. Krishna's sister Mansi (Sheeba) gets gets bethroted to scribe Diwakar (Arshad Warsi) Krishna who is rearing to join the police force, gets into an altercation with local goons and cops and as a consequence invites himself for trouble. He becomes a nuisance for the corrupt cop Godbole (Mukesh Tiwari) and power broker Mamu (Irfan Khan). Krishna however surmounts all the hurdles and emerges trumps from from the police training with the blessings of a senior inspector Ajay Pande (OmPuri) but he is rejected due to interference from higher ups, Kavita Chaudary ( Tabu) an advocate meets him during training and an attachment develops between them. But there is a shock for Krishna his sister Mansi and her husband are exterminated. Krishna swears vengence against Mamu. Pandey stops him. But there are others too, like social worker Tinnu Anand, Deputy Muncipal Comissioner Sachin etc. wating to unleash their fury on Mamu. But Krishna is the one who accomplishes his mission and _.. HE IS WAITING TO KILL!! |
