ESL stands for English as a Second Language. Many, in fact most tutorials that are currently produced nowadays are 'Immersion' courses that might be thought of as 'Generic'. In an immersion course, typically no language other than the target language is used. If your native language is Vietnamese for example, the tutorial teaching you English would not require any Vietnamese translation of what you are learning. The visuals, quizzes and other techniques presented within the tutorial, would help you in the learning process. Other products may be specially made for certain native language speakers.
