Dyna Hwyl! is ideal if you, your family or colleagues want to learn Welsh and can't get to lessons regularly. Dyna Hwyl! can take you from the first utterances to standard written Welsh without having to move from the computer.

The answer is easy, Dyna Hwyl! uses all of the powers of multimedia on CD-ROM to assist you in learning Welsh. It uses audio, video and visual stimuli to help guide you along the way.

content of Dyna Hwyl! is based upon the Open College Network standards for Welsh for Adults, and through Swansea College's Distance Learning Centre it can lead to a recognised qualification. Learners can work at their own pace to progress from their first utterances in the language to a level which would usually take 100 hours of classroom contact to achieve.

Simple.... Dyna Hwyl! utilises multimedia at its very best. Dyna Hwyl! is shipped on two CD-Roms packed with video, audio, animation and graphics. Dyna Hwyl! is designed to allow the student to decide at what pace he or she learns. The lesson may be viewed time after time, the computer will never tire. To complement each lesson there is a series of exercises to put the student through a series of tests.

To ensure that the learner is not learning in isolation, Dyna Hwyl! is accompanied by an educational backup service. A card in the package will allow the learner to send for a complementary file of additional course notes and, exercises and assignments. These can be sent to Swansea College for assessment, and will be returned by the student's personal tutor, marked and accompanied by comprehensive feedback. This service is free to any EU national over the age of 16. A small charge will be made to people who fall outside this category.
