Dr. Lau Mak (Tony Leung Chiu-Wai), Hong Kong's best coronary surgeon, prefers to work in his own slum clinic. Regulars include a seedy undercover cop (Lau Ching-Wan) and the doctor's young assistant, Andy Hui Chi-On.
