Brief Description: PARS/U is an automatic translation system. Its basic variant consists of the following components:

  • Translation program
  • dictionary updating program
  • basic dictionary.

For translating specific texts, additional terminological dictionaries are supplied, such as Ukrainian-English-Ukrainian dictionaries on computers, business, military, etc. You can use up to 4 dictionaries in each translation session.

You can also create your own dictionaries to make your PARS/U cleverer! Just have a representative portion of your texts translated by PARS/U and send all the 'new' words and idioms to PARS/U dictionary. Our programs have unique dictionary extending facilities that let PARS/U understand Ukrainian word forms!

Platform supported: Windows 95/98, Windows NT, Windows XP, CD-Rom, Windows 2000, Windows ME
System requirements:
  • A PC running MS Windows 95/98/Me or NT/2000/XP.
    • To translate a text, open it in MS Word. You may have it all translated, or just a portion of it. Then you simply select the Translate/English-Ukrainian menu command in Word menu, and run your translation program.


    A new document will be created in MS Word, and the target text will be pasted there. The source and target windows will be tiled.


    Some words in the target text are marked with asterisks. They have translation variants. To see the variants, double-click the asterisk. Let's double-click the asterisk. The list of variants will be displayed.




    Double-click the second variant. It replaces the previous one in the text.


    PARS/U preserves document formatting! Now, you may edit the target text, select translation variants, etc.

    To delete all asterisks (translation variants) from the text, you may use theTranslate/Delete Variants command.
