| Brief Description: | This subversive, inventive, humorous feature from the talented
Slobodan Sijan is set on a bus of provincials who are making their way
to Belgrade unaware that tragedy awaits them on April 6, 1941, when
Nazi Germany will launch a savage attack on Belgrade. In this film,
which helped define the "black cinema" of Yugoslavia, all the
passengers are killed except for two gypsy singers who were previously
abused and beaten by the passengers, and who, at the end, stand in the
rubble singing of the things to come. With Pavle Vujisic, Dragan
Nikolic, Aleksander Bercek and Neda Arneric. Serbo-Croatian with
English subtitles. |
