An Action filled saga with undertones of national integration, tells thestory of deep friendship between Hindu and Muslim families. A muslim mother (Nirupa Roy) saves the life of Shiva, son of her hindu Friends while her own son Aslam is Presumed dead. When Zalim Singh (Kader Khan) a cruel man burns their house down. The families are scatteredbut Shiva who missses his dear friend Aslam grows up under the love and care of Aslam's mother. Shiva grows up to be respected yet feared, Don called Tiger (Amitabh Bachchan) by the villagers who too helps the neeedy and poor. After an unfortunate incident involving Shanthi (Aruna Irani) the daughter of now Thakur Zalim Singh, Shera (Vinod Khanna) is sent to seek Shiva (Tiger) and bring him to to justice. Will friendship prevail and the two recognise each other before the violence is over?
