 | | Produtos Introdução Produtos Introdução Ga and Dagme are two closely related Niger-Congo Languages spoken in the South-Eastern corner of Ghan. Ga, variant of Nkra, is the city now better known in its europeanised form Accra.
Ga has borrowed heavily from Akan and will no doubt continue to do so.
Dangme or Adangme is a group of dialects closely related to Ga and spoken to the east and north-east. Until a few years ago, Ga was the standard language used in education and written contexts in both areas - and so most people there are bilingual in Ga - but a standard written form of Dangme has now been established.
