Many of the products that are available on the WorldLanguage site include everything you would normally receive with a standard retail boxed product minus the box itself. The software retail box is a relic from the traditional retail world where it serves two purposes: it gives store owners an eye-catching display, and it makes shoplifting a challenge due to it's bulky size. Because WorldLanguage.com is an "online" retailer, these justifications don't apply and can even inhibit sales in the online world.

So what's the advantage of this packaging? Simple - the reduced size and weight of the packaging (these products are typically packaged in either a shrink wrapped jewel case or the larger DVD-type clamshell boxes) reduces the need for expensive, wasteful cardboard boxes - promoting lower costs and helping preserve our natural resources.
