Even (Lamut) is spoken in Russia, in the Sakha Republic, Magadan, Kamchatka, and Chukotka.
Even is a Northern Tungusic language, closely related to Evenki, with about 5,000 speakers. The Even are traditionally reindeer herders, hunters, and fishermen. The language is endangered.
