| Brief Description: | This is a dramatic film based on the life of its star, Moishe Oysher. A youth leaves his home country to join a troupe of traveling performers. Eventually, he lands in America but is barely able to support himself. On a janitorial job, he is "discovered" as having an unusually fine voice and gains immediate fame. Success does not fulfill him though, and he returns, in the end, to the home of his parents. Yiddish with English subtitles. |
