'Sholay' tells the story of Jai (Amitabh Bachchan) and Veeru (Dharmendra), two thieves hired by Thakur Baldev Singh (Sanjeev Kumar) to fight the tyranny of a dreaded Decoit Gabbar Singh (Amjad Khan).
Thakur Baldev Singh is one of the unfortunate victims who lost both his arms alongwith his entire
family to Gabbar Singh's violence. Winner of 9 Indian Academy Awards (Filmfare).
