A complete woman-oriented theme, the story revolves around two sisters (Tabu and Aishwarya Rai). How they cope with the twists and turns of life and their men forms the essence of the script. The movie is a visual treat with some brilliant camerawork by Ravi K Chandran. Rajiv Menon has been tremendously improved since his Arvind Swamy/Kajol/Prabhudeva flop 'Sapney'.

A.R. Rahman has added one more feather in his success cap. The music is everything to talk about here. 'Kannamoochi' attracts attention of the music lovers. A blend of Western and Carnatic leaves you humming even after the song is over, sung by Chitra and Yesudas. Rahman makes perfect use of Veena & Violin that we otherwise do not hear much in Popular Movie Songs now a days.

Sadhna Sargam has come out of her regular Hindi routine and sung 'Konjum Mainakkale' with a great ease and a perfect diction. Hariharan & Mahalaxmi do full justice to the hummable 'Kandukondein Kandukondein'. An overall 'A' grade film.
