| Brief Description: | Akayla is a story of an unfortunate middle aged Police Officer Vijay (Amitabh Bachchan) who hates crime and criminals. Out of sheer disgust over the limitations imposed by Law, he comes across an evil pair of identical twins Tony & Jojo (played by Keith Stevenson), and kills the latter one when they both try to fool the law by providing false evidences for the crimes they had committed and get away with them. Directed by Ramesh Sippy, Akayla has a brilliant performance by Bachchan. Also stars Shashi Kapoor, Amrita Singh, Meenakshi Seshadri, Jackie Shroff & Helen. |
