The first section consists of eight lessons which teach the Armenian alphabet based upon similarity of shapes and relative productivity in reading texts; vocabulary consisting of the letters taught is introduced and drilled. The second section contains examples of Armenian sounds not found in English; each word is read by an Eastern Armenian and then by a Western Armenian to illustrate the differences between these dialects. |
